Is this a good SDD to buy?

Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD - Up to 560MB/s - CT1000MX500SSD1​


And is the best way to clone the current disc drive , to get a dock to connect the SDD above via USB first and then Copy accross?

Then go to install (assume you can test the SDD cloned disk works by booting from USB first. should then work the same when connected internally?)
