iMac 2011 thunderbolt external 3TB hd

iMac 2011

ONE of the thunderbolt port of iMac is connect to a akitio thunderbolt dock (OS with 2 SSD)

the other is connect to Kanex thunderbolt to Gigabit ethernet + USB 3.0 adapter then connect to external USB 3.0 3.5" case with toshiba 3TB hd


the problem:
the new toshiba 3TB, no matter GPT or MBR, no matter HSF+ or exFAT, has problems when verify disk.
and even infinity partitioning ...
can never be use normally

SMART is ALL OK

What's going on?

What's going on?

The Toshiba may be going bad, even if SMART is verified.

It can't be repaired. You're going to have to get yourself a new drive.
