iMac 2011 thunderbolt to HDMI cable

Is it possible to use a thunderbolt to hdmi cable from my 2011 iMac to an HD TV w/ audio using a cable such as this.

I want to be able to watch videos from my mac on the tv. Will this transfer audio as well? If this is not a good product can anyone recommend a good one for me.

Yes it's possible.
I've got noname MiniDP > HDMI cable for 12$ & all works great w/ audio support.
