Hi

I am thinking of a new iMac b/c of the reduced glare in the monitor. Currently I have a late 2009 21.5 with 6 GB of RAM and a 1TB hard drive. The drive has about 200GB of data. My photo library is about 300 pictures. Our music library of about 700 songs is stored in the cloud using itunes match.

We:

1. Surf the web
2. Handle email
3. Chat
4. Word Processing
5. Spreadsheets
6. Generate and print mailing labels.
7. Upload the occasional document or photo or attach them in an email

We have MS Office for the Mac and Pages. I view photos in both iPhoto and Apeture. We might edit a few photos about 10 times a year, if that.

I run run Windows 7 in a virtual machine using VM ware. We have a xerox color laster printer and an Epson scanner. I have two Glyph portable hard drives. One is used for Time Machine. One is used for Super Duper.

My reason for getting the 2012 Mac is becaue it reduces screen glare and I am visually impaired amd reduced glare is an important issue. I sit rather close to the computer and we have a desk that is not very wide. This rules out the 27 inch iMac.

I change our Macs about every 2.5 to 3 years. In 2008 I got a Mac mini and in May of 2012 we got an iMac.

What configuration would you suggest and why?

Thanks

Jay
