iMac 21.5 problem

Hi there I have a iMac 21.5 when I shut down the system and when I boot up the system the screen just loads on a grey screen for about 7-8 secounds then it switchs off is that a problem ? Thank you.
 
Mine exactly the same. No problem.
Sleep very different when the windowit just closes and reappears on wake up.
