I want to buy a 21.5 inch iMac but am unsure about graphics specs. Obviously the NVIDIA GT750M is going to be better than the Iris Pro currently offered, but where does the old NVIDIA GT650M fit in as thats the only one I've experience of when using a friends iMac.

My usage will include the use of flight sim programs.

Ideally, I'd buy the i5 2.7GHz with 16GB RAM and the NVIDIA graphics, but to get the NVIDIA graphics you have to order the i5 2.9GHz processor, which then tempts me to upgrade that to the i7 but which time I'm looking at a top end 21.5... which makes me wonder if I should just get a base model 27 (too big for me really)!

Decisions decisions...

i'm also in the middle of deciding between to get the Iris Pro or 750M Nvidia. I do some photo editing and would occasionally Gaming (planning on CoD). but i read some thread saying that they observed throttling/frame rate issue on macbook with nvdia graphic cards and saying even Running iris pro would be better. Does anyone with imac known to have this issue? Appreciate the advice

there's no throttling on the iMac, thermal issues are simply not present in that form factor. The 750M on the iMac steamroll the iris pro in every way if you want to play in native full hd resolution.
