Hello
i need to purchase a new/used computer today I m debating between a recent 21" Imac or a used Macbook pro about 1 year old Now keep in mind that I will be using it for music no video, running protools or Logic I would love to get a Macbook pro around 1400 used but Im afford they will not be powerful enough to run Protools or Logic and would like to be able to connect the laptop to a bigger screen as well Any thoughts? will the Macbook pro be fast enough, again i can not afford the latest Macbookpro (I5) but rather the one before, or should I stick to a 21" Imac?

Thank you

Depends on how you're going to produce your music.

If your recording in a studio like condition, then get the iMac.
If your traveling and recording at various locations, get the macbook.

Otherwise, the performance on the iMac is superior vs the 1 year macbook.
