Hello everybody,
I have a Imac 24 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo,
I have 4 gig ram memory and snow leopard installed.
I have recently formatted my hard drive so I have 295 of 310 gig free memory
and now for the story to begging.
in wednesday evening I started formatting my HDD with the function
Zero All data (one time)
and in saturday morning the formatting was finished.
and after I reinstalled snow leopard on the HDD, I tried the mac.
but even if I did all this, the computer was still running slow
just like it did before, I always get, the "beach ball of death" no matter what
I do,
(even if I disconnected everything connected to the computer except the power cable, Ethernet cable, and Keyboard and mouse(the mouse is connected to the keyboard))
one note is when I look at System information, one of my memory is missing allot of numbers,
Size: 2 GB
Type: DDR2 SDRAM
Speed: 667 MHz
Status: OK
Manufacture: 0xAD00000000000000
Articlenumber: 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000
Serialnumber: 0x00000000.
Could this be a problem caused by my HDD(failure), because before
I really maxed it out, whit programs and movies,?
I uploaded a videoclip I took the second I started my mac for the first time
after I reinstalled snow leopard
http://www.youtube.com/user/PhiHul#p/u/0/OHMtPRr60sA
I really appreciate ALL the help I can get.
Philip
