Imac 24inch(2008) Bluetooth Mouse Problems

I have endless trouble with blue connectitivity. I have tried all the obvious things. Like check the batteries,syn,pairing etc. The mouse is showing connected and strangely even wake the computer. Problem is then it freezes given no other option but to Hard start my mac. waht a bummer. I am now using usb mouse no problem. Any advice please

My Bluetooth MM does this sometimes with my Macbook, but it's usually ok if I just turn the mouse off and on again. Have you tried that?

For that problem itself I have been unable to find a solution.
