iMac 27" 2012 - Is it possible, yet, to use the iMac as a monitor for a device?

As regarding to the title post, I am wondering if any solution will be found to use my iMac as a monitor for my Xbox 360? It is a shame that this has became impossible or near impossible.

The xbox360 is not thunderbolt capable, so you can't use the imac as a monitor for the xbox. The iMac has no HDMI input as well, so you can't output HDMI from xbox to iMac.

Seriously it's far cheaper to get any old 32" LCD TV for the xbox.
