So according to Apple.com, here are educational prices on RAM.

Crucial.com sells the 8GB Bundle for $599

So Crucial charges $599 for 2x4gb sticks. Apple charges $540. However, you can get the 8GB upgrade in the iMac by going with 4x2GB sticks.
My question is PERFORMANCE
Which is faster?
1. 4 (2GB RAM Sticks)
2. 2 (4GB RAM Sticks) From Apple
3. 2 (4GB RAM Sticks) From Crucial.com
OR is the only reason you'd get 2x4gb sticks is so you'll have two free slots? That makes total sense but since I'm never needing more than 8GBs for the life of this machine, I think it's a meaningless upgrade to pay a lot more for 2x4GB sticks instead of 4X2gB sticks.
