Hi,
After a reset my iMac freezes during startup on a grey screen however the recovery mode and the safe boot mode work normally.

This is the recent history of my Mac: i recently installed a SSD and a few month ago white vertical lines have appeared on the screen that can be see only by very close to the screen.

I've tried:

- PRAM and SCM reset

- clean installation of OS X

- verify and repair the disk and disk permission in Recovery mode

- change the position of the RAM

- reinstall the old hard drive

- change the desktop resolution

the DVD player doesn't work so I can't use the Apple Hardware Test

In the verbose mode I found the following messages:

BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 no such file or directory

bash: /etc/rc.server: No such file or directory

bash: /etc/rc.installer_cleanup: No such file or directory

Logging into single user mode I solved the first message with this:

mount-uw /

rm -rf /etc/launchd.conf

rm -rf/System/Library/Caches

reboot

but the other two message continue to appear

I thought it was a problem of video card but the Apple Care said that if it has a problem the recovery mode would not work

Which you think might be the problem?

P.S. Sorry for my bad English, I'm Italian
