Hey all,

Please can you confirm if it is possible to use an iMac 27 inch late 2013 model as a screen / display for a laptop? The iMac works really well, and has a really good screen. If I had a thunderbolt to HDMI converter, could I use my work laptop to display on the iMac screen? Seems to be some conflicting searches across the web, saying some can and some can’t.

I don’t want to buy the converter if it’s definitely not possible.

Many thanks in advance!

Yes, definitely yes.
The cheapest option is an HDMI to USB 3.0 video capture adapter.
Luna Display (hardware + software combination) or Duet (software application) is also an option to look at, if you don't mind the lag.
