iMac 27 late 2013 lga 1150 CPU XEON

Can someone have experience to upgrade CPU in this machine from Intel I siries to Xeon?
possible i have question, to put Xeon LGA 1150 haswell e3 1231v3 or something better to this mac.

would it turn on?

before buy, i want to know, theoretical this will be done? or drop that idea to trashcan?

What's wrong with an core i7-4790?

nothing wrong sir, with 4790. just littlebit high price for this cpu.

xeon cheaper, and looking good in specs.

You may face with boot-loop issues because the CPUs are not recognized by iMac EFI.
Another issues is the lack of iGPU, or different iGPU (P4600 instead of HD4600) on some Xeon with iGPU. The iMac EFI is programmed with limited model of CPU.

In summary, the little gain in cache memory and price can't be balanced/traded with the high risk of incompatibility and the labor cost to replace the CPU.
