Hi There!
I have an iMac 27" Mid-2010.
I've recently bought an external monitor (ViewSonic VX2370).
I have a MiniDisplay to VGA adapter that works fine with the monitor. However, when I try a MiniDisplay to HDMI cable, the external monitor is NOT being recognized by the iMac.
I tested the HDMI cable, aswell as the HDMI input on the monitor. Both work fine.
This leads me to believe that something is wrong with the software on the iMac. How could it be that the MiniDisplay port outputs a signal, but only via VGA and not HDMI? I have yet to try DVI (waiting on a cable).
Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks!
