Hello Everyone.
When a new iMac ships, is the stand attached to the monitor or are they separated? And once the stand is attached, what is the procedure to disconnect the stand? Having trouble separating the two. Thanks for the help, d

You have to order the iMac with a VESA mount and you will not get the stand, if you want the mount option. Newer iMacs do not allow removal of the stand, unfortunately.
