iMac 27 not scaling with resulotions smaller than 2550 x 1440 (black borders)

Hi guys,
I am running Windows 7 on an iMac (i7) 27 4850.
The problem that I have is that any time an application drop the resolution to something lower than 2550x1440 I get black borders instead of a scaled image.

This does not seem to happen in OSX, why is this?
Is there any way that I can fix it?
