Hello
I have an iMac retina late 2015, with 24gb blade ssd + 1tb hard drive.

I am in contact with an official Apple reseller, to which I asked for various solutions about replacing that blody-noisy-sloooow hard drive.
i don't need space at all, storing is done by 2 nas (one local and one remote).....I only need decent speed....
Prices are to make the hardware work only.....no software at all, I will do it by myself.

Here his prices:

- Just work for replacing sata ssd, 170 euro. A sata ssd from Amazon, let's say, samsung 500gb, around 80 euros. Total 250 euros and I will be with 24gb blade (which will stay there but not used obviously) and 500gb sata ssd.

- Replace sata hard disk with sata ssd + replace Apple 24 gb blade ssd: 170 euro + 30 more euro. total 200 euros just for work.
Apple ssd flash 256gb 180 euros. In this case, the sata ssd could be sufficient 250 gb which costs 50euros. Total work 430 euros (or +30 euros for 500gb sata ssd....not much differences.....)

My question/doubt is about stop at step 1 spending 250 euros. Or arrive at step 2 spendig 430-460 euros.....
The guy cannot tell me anything about that "Apple flash ssd". It is what is listed as official Apple part.
For him, I can provide him with an aftermarked ssd blade, just as I do with sata ssd, but we know there can be problems with sleep function or else.....no 100% compatibility.
With the official Apple part 100% compatibility guaranteed. It is new, not used.

Does anyone know something about it? Is it AHCI or NVME interface?
If AHCI, is it worthy to almost double the final cost of upgrade?
