iMac 27inch using iLugger on plane

Hi everyone.

I have a iMac 27inch and I actually want to take it with me in summer vacation.

I'm thinking to get iLugger but I don't know if someone tried getting his iMac 27inch on plane.

Our airlines require
A bag or hand-bag allowance (the size of the piece not to exceed 115 cm)


And the iLugger for 27inch size is 29 3/4" x 8" x 23" which is more then 150cm

But you know airlines sometimes they just want us to get smaller bags. Because I do see every time I flight passengers taking very bags but I can't imagine the size of iLugger bag until I buy it.

iMac's are definitely not portable however if you insist I'd recommend shipping using Fed Ex or UPS to your destination. However for all the hassle I'd recommend getting yourself a MacBook Air.

Did you ever made it to bring your 27" IMac with you as carry-on luggage?

I'm moving to USA and I have the same big problem

My brother did this with a 24" iMac and checked it. Took a large suitcase, wrapped the iMac between 2 pillows and lots of bubble wrap around the whole thing. Checked that piece of luggage and made it to his destination just fine.
I don't know if I'd do it myself though. Too much risk to break it or have it stolen.
