iMAC 5k Frozen after El Capitan Upgrade

Before the El Capitan upgrade, our new iMAC 5k 27" was running flawlessly. Three applications added from beginning were the MS Office, Spotify, and Trend Micro AV.

MS Word was used just prior the total freeze. After it went to sleep, I had to press the power button behind the display.

Command-Option-Escape sequence did not work.
