iMac 5K used with Thunderbolt display

How would it work if I connect my existing Thunderbolt Display with is currently connected to a 2013 iMac 27 to a new iMac 5K that would replace the 2013 iMac?

I use it as a 2nd monitor side by side that allows for moving windows across the monitors.

If it works, how would it look given the resolutions will be different?

If you have it in HiDPI mode it will be the same size it just won't be as sharp.
