Hello,

since a couple of days/weeks I'm having a problem with my Imac 7.1 running on Mac OSX 10.6.8.
If I hit the  and then Software Update it says that they could NOT search for Updates due to a Network problem.
I can choose network diagnostic but after the test it says my internet should work fine.

I'm also having the problem that the Itunes (version 10.5.3) Store can't connect to the internet. can't find the Host
Safari is working good and doesn't have any problems with the internet connection.

I've read a lot of things on the internet and nothing fixed my problem.
what i tried:
-reboot
-delete com.apple.softwareupdate.plist in preferences
-added soms DNS things (add 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220)
-downloaded the newest version of Safari from Apple
-downloaded the newest version of Itunes from Apple
-re'installed' my network
-restarted the modem
-checked if any proxy's were enabled (but this wasn't)
-reset Safari preferences (and deleted cache files)
-...

can anybody help me?
Thank you for your answers and help!

with Kind regards,

Okaj... I have found the problem!

the problem was that I had Little snitch installed on the mac. I thought I had disabled it because I didn't see it in my dock/ status bar /... but apparently it blocked my connection to software update And Itunes store!

now I've enabled connections and everythings works!

sorry for the 'stupid' problem :s
