So I have this iMac ...

Model Identifier: iMac7,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz

I want to boost the RAM ( has only 3GB ).

How much can it use and what would be a good source for the RAM.

iMac 7,1 and sticky movies

Hi there, I have the same iMac 7,1. I'm having trouble watching online movies from Crackle.com. They keep freezing for up to 10 seconds and then continuing. Is this a memory issue? I'm able to play online games just fine, but not watch movies. I will gladly upgrade from 3GB to 6GB if this will solve the problem. Also, I'm using a wireless Virgin Mobile usb stick for internet if that matters. Appreciate any help that I can get. Thanks.

i would point at that usb dongle being the problem. they are rarely fast enough to watch videos online.
