Hello everybody,
I have a 20-inch, Mid 2007 iMac which wakes me up at night all the time D:
At random intervals at night when my mac has been set to 'sleep', it will turn on, make some noises (Sounds like the HDD spinning, a fan going and perhaps a few other things) for maybe 20 seconds or so and then goes back to sleep and is silent again. All this happens without the screen turning on, although I think the screen does come on, just the image remains completely black.
I know an easy solution would be to turn it off completely but I like to use Awaken.app as my alarm clock.
It happens consistently no matter what apps I have open. It happened before I set up Time Machine and continues to so I can't imagine it's making backups...
Sometimes it happens several times in one night.
All I want is to sleep in peace!
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim.
