iMac airport problems..

I have a 27-inch iMac and the airport is acting up...every so often I have turn off and then turn back on my airport, because the connection stops working. Is there anyway to fix this problem?

Airport problems

Make sure that there is no metal around your airport. Try and make it line of sight as much as possible. I was having the same problems but moving my airport and airtunes has solved the problem,

Maybe I was wrong, sorry beginner here. I was meaning my wireless card, which is what I thought was the airport. The iMac is an all in one so I'm not sure what you mean by keep metal away and move it to line of sight.
