Evening all,

I'm looking at buying a 27" iMac, I will be upgrading the gpu to the best one available at the moment.

I'm goin to have the iMac as the main display and a 20" apple cinema display as a second screen.

However I have it set up in my bedroom and would like to hook it up to a 42" tv on a different wall do I can use the iMac to play tv and films.

So the question really is will a iMac support a 42" external display at 1920x1080 ?

Yes, it will support any 23" display with 1920 x 1080 pixel and a 30" display with 2560 x 1600 pixel and a 90" TV with 1920 x 1080 pixel. The physical size of the display/TV does not matter, only the resolution.

Fantastic thanks.
