Hey guys! Can you connect the news Mac mini to a new iMac thus making it more powerful. Will the two work with one another, thus making a stronger machine with the combination. Thanks a lot

No unfortunately you can't combine them for a more powerful machine.
However you may be able to use the iMac as a monitor for a Mini if you have the right combination of hardware. Both the 2009 & 2010 (27" only) can take input via Mini Display port but the 2011 iMac's can only be used in target display mode with a Thunderbolt device, like the new Mini and a Thunderbolt cable

Technically you could with XGrid, but it isn't for general computing, more so specialised batch jobs. It may not be useful at all for you.

really!!! NO!!! if I use xgrid can I combine the 2 im just greedy and I want a more powerful machine since my 27 inch imac has a core i3 and 8 GB of RAm, any suggestions?? thanks as always

No, this is for some specific, high performance computing needs. Think heavy duty 3d rendering, mathematical modeling and scientific work. Sorry!
