I'm in the market for upgrades to my iMac (Mid-2011) and macbook (Early-2008) in order to speed them up. The iMac is fast, don't get me wrong, but I regret only having 8GB of RAM and no second monitor so I want to bump those up. The macbook is just old and needs some extra speed.
What I'm curious on is:
a) Has anyone tried any of these products before?
b) Are these upgrades worth the price of them?
c) Any other suggestions for similar products?
d) Are they all compatible (fairly certain they are)
Here's what I'm in the market for and what I've found so far:
SSD for Macbook

Firewire Enclosure to copy my drive over and use my old HDD as an external

4GB RAM for macbook

16GB RAM (2 copies of 2x4GB) for iMac (might just get 8GB to start and bring myself to 12)

21.5" Acer 1080p Monitor

Hopefully the links work for everyone else, for some reason they aren't for me.
