iMac + bad display = can I share the view on my Windows PC

I have been given a 2008 Intel iMac that's got a faulty display (Bad Yellow stains all over it ) other than these off putting yellow stains the iMac run's well, I can't at the moment afford to repair the iMac and I don't have an external monitor I can use, I have borrowed an external monitor and the iMac works fine on that , so I was wondering if there's a way I can share the iMac's desktop view onto my Windows 7 run laptop , so I would just use my laptop to see the iMac's view - Just a thought:)
