No, I do not have time machine or any othe apps. What do I need to do to get this deleted calendar back? How do I install the time machine etc?

Time machine is included with OS 10.5 Leopard. You hook up an external hard drive and it automatically backs up to it. It works great. My hard drive crashed 2 nights ago. Took my iMac to the Apple store and they replaced it under Apple Care. Came home, hooked up my external drive and restored my entire system in about 3 hours. It is a great program and a real life saver.

The great poster above described it perfectly. Time Machine is a true life saver. Happened to me 2 times also. Imagine, your entire uni or business data swiped away in a snap.

I do not have Leopard

does time machine comes with Tiger? I just need to know how to restore my ical if that is do-able. Thanks.

No, Time Machine is Leopard-only I'm afraid.

Do you have a data-recovery program handy, such as Data Rescue II? This might be able to save your calendar - but only if it hasn't yet been overwritten by other data.

No data recovery

:D:cool:I will try to see what else I can do. I don't have that much knowledge with the imacs. Thought someone on here knew an easy way to get this accomplished.

You can reinstall iCal from your installation discs if you still have them
Just want to make certain... you dragged iCal to the Trash and then emptied it?

iCal was deleted and I need

to try and recover it for some info I had on it. Appts. etcs. Anyone know how I can do this? I do not have a data recovery.
