The past week I have noticed a problem with my late 2007 iMac and the Magic Mouse I bought a year ago. Never had this problem before, but now when powering on the Bluetooth system preference pane appears and says it can't find the mouse. I have to power the mouse off and on for it to be discovered. Once I do that it works fine but it's very annoying.

The Bluetooth status in the menu bar says the mouse still has 40% battery life so it's not that. Any ideas what I could do?

FYI I have a Bluetooth keyboard which connects fine at startup.
