I am going to use CCC because everyone is recommending it before Lion.
I watched this video on how to do it...but I have one question.

After I Copy my Mac HD will it erase all the Time Machine Backups I have?
I'm hoping to have the Time Machine Backups and CCC Backup.

And is there anything I need to do after I make a copy?

Here's what I'm looking at...am I ready to go?

You should really partition your backup drive to keep the CCC backup and the TM backup separate. Or even better, buy a separate drive.

How do I do that? I want to keep both on my Hard Drive! :)

Edit - I figured out how to get to it.

I want 500GB for Time Machine and 500GB for CCC.

I selected the 500GB for Time Machine...How do I use CCC for the remaining 500GB?

Edit - I applied what I had selected and it's partitioning Time Machine Back Ups. How do I use CCC for the other half of my External Hard Drive?
