hello everyone i recently updated my imac to maverick and im having issues with my computer randomly waking up from sleep and then staying awake until i put it to sleep again. I have to do this multiple times a day and must shutoff my imac at night so the screen doesn't stay on all night.
I checked the energy saving preferences and everything is at default (a little less than 15 minutes for the computer and display to fall asleep, plus put hard disk to sleep when possible and wake for network access checked.) I also noticed than when the computer wakes i don't hear the hard disk spinning up, which makes me believe it the hard disk stays awake.

Thanks in advance to all who help me fix this issue.

system specs:
iMac
27-inch, Mid 2011
Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB
Software OS X 10.9 (13A603)

Do you have a third-party keyboard or mouse (with drivers installed)? Many times that is the problem.
