Hi I've been offered a Imac 27inch (Late 2009) for £500
I'm a Animation Student so I use Photoshop and Flash a lot as well as some Maya work which I understand might be slower on this system.

Are apple likely to support this system much longer in future OS upgrades?
Does the system sound like a good deal to you?, Has it got many more years left in it?
Would you make the switch from my current specs shown below?

27" iMac (2560x1440 resolution display)
Core 2 DUo 3.06Ghz Processor
4GB GDDR3 RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR3 memory
1 Terabyte Hard drive
Superdrive
Around 200 days Applecare

I currently use a PC with the following
Core 2 Quad 2.6Ghz
4Gb DDR2
GTX 460 1GB
120Gb SSD
500Gb hard drive
Windows 8

Thanks

I had that exact iMac, and to me it seemed slow. You'd do better with at least a quad core, especially for the video and Maya.
