Hey guys,

My imac has been running really slow for awhile but didn't really think about how slow until I got an older dell core i3 at work that's a LOT faster than it.

I think my problem may be that I've migrated all my info from my PowerBook G4 that I got in 2004 to my MacBook Pro in 2007 to this iMac....so I have some programs and files that are 10+ years old! Plus I've dl'd some torrents in my younger years that may have stashed some additional junk in places I don't know about.

Whats the best way to clean up this mess I've created? I store all my photos/vids on a 2tb firewire drive so I really don't have that much data to move. I'd ideally like a fresh start but have some programs like photoshop/final cut pro/etc that I got when I was a student and don't have license #'s or a way to reinstall that I can think of?

Thanks
