I have a G3 iMac with what looks to be be a dead CRT. Can anyone think of ANYTHING I could do to accurately diagnose that it's beyond help?

I didn't think that all of the G3 iMacs has external video connections.

If you have a second mac, you could connect the iMac to the other mac with firewire, restart the iMac in Target Disk Mode, and see if the iMac mounts on the second mac's desktop. Everything pretty much has to be working properly for a computer to start up in target disk mode.
