iMac CRT upgrades

i just got a 266 Mhz CRT iMac and wanted to do some upgrades and had a few questions
max hard drive size? i want to throw a 60GB or so in there so i'll have room for all my music, is there an upper limit on the max HD size
website detailing how to take apart an imac to upgrade the HD and optical drive?
ram type and max ram? i think it's PC100 SODIMM but i'm not 100% sure
is it worthwhile to install OS X or will it run too slow to be worthwhile? i will upgrade the ram to at least 256MB, what versions of OS X will work on my particular iMac

Memory Guide On the iMac here. indeed it uses PC100 SODIMM'S.

I think that any HD that you will put in that imac will work with it. But I am not sure
