iMac dimensions without the foot?

Can anyone please post the measurements of the G5 iMac main unit, without the foot stand?

Planning to remove the foot for travel, so I need to know if it will fit in my carry-on.

17" and 20" please, if you can. (I know the new ones are a little thinner, but the old measurements will be good enough for me to work with.)

This is using math, but one side is about 17" or 18" and the other is 22" or 23" - I'm really rounding and estimating here:
17^2*3/4 then square root that
17^2*4/3 then square root that
then both of those you have to add like 2 or 3 inches for the frame. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but is that close you think?

I just did that with my iBook, and the one side is 9" and the other is like 10", my estimate swere 10.47 and 13.28 so it works to some degree.
