imac display or another LED TV

I was just wondering whether the imac display is better or the samsung 27" LED TV would work better, I know the imac has got a very high resolution and thats why gamers are having problem due to high resolutions.

Televisions are very limited in resolution. Even 1080P TVs are about 1/2 the pixels of high res monitor (almost exact 1/2 of a 2560X1600 30" display). I have a 30" and a 27" each with a horizontal resolution of 2560. I cannot imagine going back down to the 1920 that a 1080P monitor provides.
