I have a new iMac, 2008 i believe, and im trying to make a banner for my band, problem is i scanned it in and the background was not quite white, even though the mac showed it as being the same color as the white around it.
This would not be a problem if every other pc i look at shows ugly erase markes and defects in the becground of an otherwise decent image. It also showes the bad background when highlighted in expose or hovered over by another window, pictures below.
The first picture is the actual file, that i see as having a totaly white background, as shown it the second picture. The third pictue shows the defects when hovered over in expose, and also how it looks on everyone elses PC. I have tried calibrating via ColorSync and Shades.
