For the past few months my iMac has decided that it will reset the dock to all the default icons and that it doesn't want to let me save or change the wallpaper on my desktop. It changes my very small dock which usually contains just finder, mail, logic, iTunes, spotify, system preferences and maybe one or two more to the default ridiculous amount of icons including the downloads manager next to the trash can.
I am running 10.5.2 (yes I know it's outdated but I use 10.8.2 on another).
I have had this iMac for a few years and had no problems until now, which would imply that I have obviously been carrying out the tasks of customising the desktop wallpaper and dock correctly as well.
Any help would be very much appreciated! Thank you :)
