Dear all,
I have Imac desktop about 4 years old, intel i3, with snow leopard 10.6 system on it.
No recovery disc. Imac worked on previous os system, no hardware problems, disc and so on.
I have tried to clean up entire disc and instal new system on it. I have downloaded image of operating system snow leopard 10.6, and start the installation. The image was recognized and started up the installation process. After selecting partition to instal the system, the machine was restarted and white screen came up and freeze for over an hour till computer was restarted with button on the back.

After restart white screen shows up with apple logo on it.
No spinning wheel.
I can not display safety mode.
Shift + r, ctrl + r don't work.
ONLY Alt button allows to display image of installation DVD saved on the disc.
When original Leopard DVD inserted in to drive does not boot itself.
When I use installation dvd, and start up iMac holding Alt button 2 icons are displayed: hard drive icon with image of installation DVD saved on the discs and cd icon with DVD installation disc. After pressing CD icon system freeze.
I cannot install the system.
What can I do to get the system on the machine.

I assume that hard drive works as I image of installation DVD is detected, keyboard works alt and eject button works. I tried tutorials on youtube no success.

Can I ask you for the advice.
Many thanks
