Hey Guys,

I bought myself an iMac back in the autumn of 2007 and I have to say I have been impressed by it since day one but recently its started to develop a major flaw. This flaw is that it now only seems to power up say one in five times that I press the power button.... sometimes its so bad that I give up all together and just use my PC.

Also on a side note, when it does power up sometimes it freezes during the boot-up process and the screen just stays white until I press and hold in the power button, this wouldn't be too bad but since my iMac only seems to boot-up one in five times It soon becomes a long process if I get a combination of both problems.

Does anyone know what might be wrong and how I could go about fixing it?

Thanks a lot.
/Steve
