hi guys..
first post here..
i have a 20" 2.4ghz intel core 2 duo imac, 4gb ram, ATI,RadeonHD2600 (256mb VRAM), 1tb HD etc etc.
i was considering attaching another LCD/Monitor to the mac.. basically powering two screens with the imac.

i know its possible, but wanted to know if it will in any way slow the mac down and/or does it have any disadvantages or problems?
Are the spec on this mac good enough to power another screen, with relationg to the display/resolution/images etc..??

any help or advice on the topic will be appriciated!
thanks!!

Works just fine - no problems at all. Typing this on a 20" 2.0Ghz iMac that has a Dell 20" at the same res. Just make sure you buy a DVI screen as compared to the the iMac screen, VGA looks REAL fuzzy...

iMac will handle two displays okay, unless you are doing very GPU intensive tasks like editing HD quality video or playing games, but yes it'll handle it perfectly. I have BenQ E2400HD as m secondary monitor and it's perfect when editing pictures

thanks guys!! guess its a matter of time before my second monitor arrives..
