State of Denial
One half (actually, closer to 2/3) of my iMac DV+'s CRT screen is turning yellow where it should be white (ie, the left border of this page is white. The right border is yellow). Since it's not uniform, I can't just recalibrate it to fix it. Is it dying, and is there any way to fix it?

Probably no way to fix. However, if you open the oval plastic piece on the back right below where you would add RAM, there should be a VGA out. You should be able to plug in a different monitor and use it instead, thus saving the life of your iMac for a while.

watch out

I have a friend with a horror story about one of these- 2 days ago, it (literaly) cought fire. He was on the phone with tech support, and it just burst into flames. Started from the top, right side of the case, and worked its way to the other side. Maybe just a fluke, but that's my 2 cents. Maybe time for a upgrade?
