imac ear plug extension?

I only have regular iPhone ear plugs and I find them very annoyingly hanging over my trackpad when I try to use them.

I am not sure what it's called but is there decent extension I can plug back into iMac and then perhaps have it go to the side and i can plug my ear plugs in?

I am not sure what it's called.. I was looking at Creative Xmod(not even sure that's what it does).. but something like that..

Anyone know?

Just go to RadioShack (or your country's equivalent crappy electronics shop) and buy a 1/8" male to female headphone adapter. It should be like $3.

I know this a bit off topic (well kind of), but is there any way to make headphones (bose) that have detachable 2.5 to 3.5 cord wireless.

Like is there a 2.5mm bluetooth shindig that I can attach to the headphones to make it wireless?

PS - It may help some people looking to clear wires and who have come to this thread for this particular reason.
