Hi All,

The hard drive inside my Intel iMac (Early 2006, White) has just died, so I'm looking to replace it myself shortly. A 500GB drive can be had for about £40 at the moment, so it couldn't have died at better time....

Anyway, I'm confident with taking the iMac apart but I'm a little unsure what HD i should use. I understand that the drives inside these iMacs are SATA, but all the drives online at the moment are SATAII- would there be any compatibility issues? Alternatively, would you be able to recommend a good 500GB for it?

Thanks for your help as always.
