So, I have a 2009 iMac which keeps ejecting double layered discs withour reading (or trying to do so)
A year ago i bought a cleaning disc to fix the same problem and it seemed to work, but now I have the same problem and when I try to insert the cleaning disc it simply doesn't read it or takes like 15 minutes to spin then reads only a small part of it.
Is there any other cleaning method for imac superdrives?

Is your cleaning disc still in good enough condition to use?

For the dual layer discs you're having issues with, is it all of them? Do DL Movie Discs work okay? Is the issue with just DL DVD+/-R's?

As an additional thought, is your drive starting to wear out?
