Looking for software equivalent to WinRar and the Klite Codec pack to watch my .avi movies and unzip files. I have been unsuccessful to this point, so I am hoping someone can help me out.

Stuffit Expander for your Rar Files and Perian to watch Divx, Xvid... on Quicktime. Otherwise VLC will have the codecs built-in
 
The Unarchiver for Rar files and MPlayer OSX Extended for the movie files etc
