Hi,
I recently transitioned to the glorious Imac and am lovin it!
I have a good internet connection via wifi router and Airport.
I also have a Buffalo Terastation RAID connected to the wireless router via ethernet cable.
I can connect to the RAID nicely through Airport, although data transfer is very slow, Circa 4hours for 17GB of jpegs!
I guessed that this is slow either because is is transferring over wifi or writing to multiple discs in the RAID.
To try and over come this I have tried to connect the RAID directly to the Ethernet port on the rear of the IMac. but cannot detect the RAID either in (Nasnavigator) or finder.
I have tried configuring the NETWORK - Ethernet settings but must be doing something really wrong.
I don't know a lot about ip addresses and think this is where the problem is, as the RAID changes its IP add when i connect from airport to plain ethernet.
Can someone shed some light on how to do this please?
